The annual interest rate is 20.99% on purchases and 21.99% on advances.

Earning Points

For frequent travelers or those planning their dream trip, it is recommended to purchase your plane tickets through Air Canada and Air Canada Vacation using the Amex ® Aeroplan ® Reserve credit card. This way, you can earn up to 3x Aeroplan points.

When you make eligible purchases for food delivery or at restaurants, you can earn 2x Aeroplan points. All other purchases on the card will earn you 1.25x Aeroplan points. Qualifying purchases with Rocky Mountaineer will earn you double points.

Travel Insurance Coverage

The Amex ® Aeroplan ® Reserve credit card offers travel insurance coverage for qualifying medical expenses up to $5,000,000 if you are insured and under the age of 65 within the first 15 days of your trip.

In case of trip cancellation, you can receive a refund of the amount spent on purchasing the ticket with coverage up to $1,500 USD per member, per trip, and a maximum of $3,000 USD for all members combined.

If any items are stolen from your hotel room, you will be covered for up to $1,000 USD (excluding money). Similarly, if your checked bags are stolen or lost during travel, you will be covered for up to $1,000 USD. In case of accidental death or dismemberment while traveling, the insurance coverage is up to $500,000.

All mentioned insurances are valid when the purchase of the plane ticket or other services is made through the Amex ® Aeroplan ® Reserve credit card.
